Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, is one of two inland resorts. It is based around 100km northeast of the town of Umluj, a beach town on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. Southern Dunes is designed by renowned British architects Foster + Partners. The villas are arranged in two lines to take advantage of the surrounding dunes. The design pays homage to the Nabataean heritage of the majestic desert surroundings near the Red Sea coast. The heart of the resort is the Oasis. Inspired by a desert flower, the canopy is a self-shading structure that will host vibrant activities and functions under one roof.
